GB v Brazil Ladies Football Olympic Victory!

Had an amazing time! GB were awesome and this is a secret but it was my first ever football match, it was at Wembley, it was the ladies team and WE WON.

Such an amazing buzz, the crowd, the stadium, the beer and the singing (we were sat behind a group of about 20 from Ireland who kept breaking out into song and in front of a group of Brazilians all dressed up in wigs with whistles and a sign which said "They have the queen, we have Marta") I did try to get a picture of them but they er, wouldn't keep still!

Go Team GB, I'm loving the olympics and I'm thinking of heading to Rio too! As for football matches, i'm a convert - they aren't that bad (when it's the ladies).
Made a few new friends!

Hilarious!!!

Any excuse to shop!

Here Come The Girls...

Like everyone else, I've been watching the Olympics and i'm so, so proud of the ladies, we really do run the world! Watching the GB Cycling Team racing, I felt awful for Pendleton and Varnish after their disqualification for switching the lead outside the permitted zone in the team sprint especially having broken the world record in the qualifying. It happens though and the fact that the Chinese team, who've broken the world record twice in the competition, suffered the same fate illustrates thatVictoria Pendleton bounced back and her gold saw me jumping off the sofa and almost breaking my leg over the coffee table! Well done Victoria and good luck with the individual sprint. So glad she's retiring on a high!

Another Gold Medal for team GB after Joanna Rowsell, my personal favourite, Dani King and Laura Trott clocked three minutes 14.051 seconds to triumph with a sixth consecutive world record in the three-woman, three-kilometre event.

A Long Time Coming...

I'm feeling a bit guilty, I've not blogged forever! I should hang my head in shame and be forever banished from the bloggers community. Or perhaps not, I've been so incredibly busy with a couple of other projects and end of the school year and just life. Also, I blog for fun through my love (hic obsession) with bicycles so I suppose it's okay to occasionally fall off the wagon. However, I'm sorry all. It won't happen again, probably...

I feel like the chic cycling movement (not sure thats the right word but hey ho) is growing and now i see at least 1 or 2 Pashley's or similar, everybody is at it and it gives me such joy. Occasionally a bit too much joy as I'm prone to smiling at strange cyclists and staring and smiling. This is ok when I'm cycling but when I'm in the car or walking, not so much! Apparently there are over 500,000 journeys by bicycle in London every day so I shouldn't be surprised.

Here's the last few weeks in Pictures!
